Cannot change yesterday but I can change today

Background:

In the serene village of Devarakadra, nestled within the Mahbubnagar district, resides Jyothi, a young woman leading a modest life with her parents. Her father toils tirelessly in the fields, while her mother dutifully tends to their home. With a family of four to support, financial strains loom large over their household. Jyothi’s father earns mere annual income and no regular work and no regular income source to the family.

One day, while working in the fields, Jyothi’s friend enlightened her about a life-altering opportunity – Women Empowerment training programme offered through 100 Days Later initiative of 100 Days Later Foundation with support from Cyient Foundation. Eager to explore avenues for betterment, Jyothi had wasted no time and promptly enrolled in the General duty Assistant (GDA) Course. Her journey began with 100 Days Later Foundation by visiting the Skill Centre operated in Mahabubnagar.

The interactions with the sponsor Ms. Pratinya had further motivated her to participate in the trainings without a single day of absenteeism. The facilities provided by the foundations assisted her to reach the skill centres timely from a remote rural village and depart to home safely.

Jyothi has got best learning of the General Duty Assistance course encompassed vital skills such as monitoring blood pressure, proficient bed-making, drawing blood samples, and other essential caregiving activities. During the training field visits to Healthcare Service providers further enhanced her learning on the roles and responsibilities as General Duty Assistant (GDA).

Jyothi has completed the 100 Days Couse with diligence and dedication. Upon completing the course, Jyothi secured a General duty assistant position at Heritage Elder Care Services.

Embarking on her professional journey, she commenced with a starting salary of 16,000 rupees. The impact was immediate and profound – Jyothi found herself empowered to provide substantial financial assistance to her family, a source of immense joy and fulfilment. Prior to Jyothi’s employment, their total income amounted to 105,000/-. However, with her newfound job, their earnings soared to an impressive 342,000/-.
