My name is Karishala Navya, and I am from Devarakadra village in Mahabubnagar. I am 21 years old, and my highest qualification is SSC. My family consists of four members: my father, mother, brother, and me. My father, who is the head of our family, works as a casual labourer. He struggles to make ends meet with his irregular income.
I always wished to work to support my family and my father. So I was on the lookout for job opportunities. One day, a mobilization camp was conducted in my village, announcing a program and calling all the unemployed to gather in one place.
I attended and immediately enrolled in the General Duty Assistant course, which seemed perfect for me. The course curriculum covers crucial aspects of day-to-day healthcare responsibilities, such as patient bathing, grooming, meal support, infection control, and accurate measurement of vital signs. This was the turning point of my life.
The most important part of the training is, the foundations arranges industry tours for experiencing the work. We have visited Navodaya hospital there we explored health care issues on different peoples that was the fantastic experience provided.
After completing the course, I was selected by a reputable home care service that focuses on elder care in the market. My family is happy, and I am proud that I am financially self-reliant and can help my father.
Everything changed when I learned about the Women Empowerment Training Program offered through the 100 Days Later initiative by the 100 Days Later Foundation, with support from the Cyient Foundation. Before joining this program, I went through a lot of difficulties and stress in my life.
Now I am referring all my friends and neighbours who are in need for job or want to self sustain to join for 100 Days Later Initiative courses. I extend my gratitude to Ms. Pratinya, she has been so nice to us and visited our training centre. I am impressed with her attitude such a young age, with love and affection we treat her as one my family member and a sister. May thanks to her family for facilitating this training program. Now, I have become a source of pride for my village. We even dared to migrate to Hyderabad, setting an example for other women. This strength and confidence were given to me by the 100 Days Later Foundation.
