Background:

My name is Silabesi Poojitha, and I hail from Devarakadra, Mahabubnagar. I have known hardship intimately. From my childhood, my life has been difficult due to my family’s financial situation. My family consists of four members, and we are financially very poor. Our resources are very limited, and we depend solely on my father’s earnings.

We are living below the poverty line. My father is a farmer by profession, and leading the family has been very difficult for him. We lived a constrained life, often in darkness, with all the surrounded problems I managed to complete my studies upto graduation. My family did many sacrifices for my education as much as I did for family later dates.

Despite the financial constraints, I possessed an unwavering determination to better my circumstances. My first goal is to help my family by adding my bit in the income, with little support from parents and family members I was in search of jobs. Lack of suitable jobs to my skill, we as a family are exploring the options for migration. Leaving the homeland is very tough without a sustainable income source. One fine day, my fate intervened in the form of a mobilization camp conducted in our village. The team from 100 Days Later Foundation had visited our village and conducting an awareness camp on potential jobs in the industries surrounded in Mahabubnagar District. I had learned about 100 Days Later training programs, that helps in upskilling the unemployed women on the local industry relevant skills and quick placement.

To my shocking, I had learned that the 100 Days of training was free of cost and included placement support. This gave me a lot of hope, and was eager to join the course, I had expressed my interest and shared my details. I was invited to the 100 Days Later Foundation skill centre in Mahabubnagar and had a detailed conversation with the counsellors and identified a suitable course with their assistance. I had enrolled for electronics and soldering course and I took admission immediately. Through its comprehensive curriculum, including invaluable soft skills classes, I not only honed my abilities but also discovered newfound confidence in myself. The program provided comprehensive training in technical skills such as electronics and soldering, alongside essential life skills. This holistic approach profoundly influenced my personal and professional growth.

Gratitude filled my heart as I reflected on my journey. After clearing my interview, I felt fully satisfied with my life. When I looked back, it was dark and dry, but now my life is colourful and beautiful. My transformation from a hesitant, uncertain individual to a confident and skilled professional is a testament to the vision of Ms. Pratinya and her unwavering determination and the invaluable support provided through 100 Days Later Foundation and Cyient Foundation.

I am really happy due to the step taken by the Ms. Pratinya with an innovate thought of changing lives in 100 Days. My monthly income is double than my entire family income since I got selected by the company, which was a great achievement for me. Now my life is very happy, and I am helping my parents. Now my life is nothing to everything and I am proud to be part of 100 Days Later Initiate where I learned how to live.
