I am Pravallika, a trainee from the 100 Days Later initiative of 100 Days Later Foundation in the Electronics and Soldering trade. I have had a challenging and inspiring journey.
My story is, as the eldest child in a family of five, I grew up witnessing numerous struggles and hardships. My parents faced many challenges, including financial instability, which made it difficult for them to support their children’s education and other basic needs. Despite these difficulties, my determination to improve my family’s circumstances never wavered.
Most saddening and disheartening struggle I faced when my mother passed away a few years ago, leaving me uncertain about where to go and what to do. Despite my efforts, our family’s financial situation remained precarious. As an elder in the family at a young age taking care of the family responsibility taught me the patience and acceptance to the tough situations. I really did not believe in miracles as no one does until the time it happens.
One day, I had witnessed a miracle that had come as a ray of hope from a young girl Ms. Pratinya, I overheard about an initiative of transforming lives of women in 100 Days. It sounded absurd to me initially until the time I had experienced.
The day when I had been a spectator one among the group of people in our village listening few representatives of 100 Days Later Foundation and Cyient Foundation. That was a beneficiaries mobilization camp conducted in our village community hall. I eagerly listened to the officials and learned about the 100 Days Later Initiative during the camp.
I don’t want to miss the opportunity that has come as blessing to me to improve my skills and secure a better future for my family without spending a penny. At the camp, I had also learned about the electronics and soldering course offered through 100 Days Later skilling program. I had given my name for my enrolment and still had sense of fear about the program and its implementation. I had visited the skill centre in Mahbubnagar with my siblings and completed the joining formalities. The counsellors made me comfortable and eased my nerve.
The 100 Days Later Foundation and Cyient Foundation marked a turning point in my life. The foundations not only provided me with domain-specific skills in electronics and soldering but also imparted essential life skills. The comprehensive training program had a profound impact on both my personal and professional growth.
I reflect on my experience, saying, “The 100 days I spent in the 100 Days Later Initiative developed my self-confidence, self-discipline, informed decision-making abilities, and effective time management skills. “The skills I gained the exactly 100 Days of training have equipped me with the tools to build a better future for myself and my family.
My journey is a testament to the power of a young girl Ms. Pratinya’s vision to make the fellow women self-reliant, and the hard work, and perseverance of women like me who can utilize such opportunities.
