Background:

My name is Gajje Manswitha, and I come from an isolated village called Talpunoor in the wanaparthy District. My family, consisting of seven members, has struggled with severe financial constraints. My father, a farmer, worked tirelessly to support us, but his earnings were barely sufficient. The single income from small forming and a large family to survive is extremely difficult. My father in the desperate need of a helping hand from anyone us to assist him in sharing the financial burden.

The financial constraints restricted to sacrifice many of the bare minimum needs like education to children and nutrition. With all the difficulties I had completed my higher secondary education in the village Government School. I aspired to pursue further studies but had to abandon my dreams due to our economic situation.

All my family members are desperate to contribute for family living, I began searching for employment but faced rejection due to my qualifications and skills. The day of fortune has come to us, a team from 100 Days Later Foundation and Cyient Foundation had visited our village and organized a mobilization camp in our village. Through word of mouth, I learned about the women empowerment program of 100 Days Later Foundation and their skill development initiatives.

With the help and support from the known neighbours in the village, I had visited the skill centre in Mahabubnagar. The day has changed our lives, I was in fear and so scared to interact with the counsellors. The previous rejections in my life had creepy feelings, to my surprise they were so friendly and so welcoming in nature. They had assessed my sincerity and sensed the need for the job.

My family is happy to know that the trainings offered through 100 Days Later Initiatives are free of cost. The foundations sponsoring the fee, food and transportation has made our life so easy. I had come to the vision of Ms. Pratinya for making 100 women empowered through this initiative for every 100 days.

I had enrolled for the Electronics and Soldering course and started attending the course regularly without any absenteeism, this is the golden opportunity and blessing come to us through Ms. Pratinya and her foundations which I don’t want to waste in any means. The trainers are very good, and we are provided with hands on practical’s trainings. I learned how to do soldering, understand colour coding, and work with capacitors, transformers, and other important components.

The training was exceptional, imparting not only technical skills but also enhancing my self-confidence. The motivational classes were transformative, helping me realize my capabilities. After completing the 100 days of training, I secured a job at a renowned company in Hyderabad with a starting salary of Rs. 15,000/-. Having worked in electronics production for six months now, I have witnessed significant changes in my life. I have become the main breadwinner for my family, paid off our debts, and we now live a stable and happy life. This skill development programme has been a game-changer for me.
