Background:

My name is K. Lavanaya. My father is a social worker, and our family of three dependent entirely on his income. My father is very good person and live with ethics and responsibilities of raising women, but despite his efforts, his income is not sufficient to support us.

We live in a very remote area where the access to education and awareness is low. The societal pressures persist on girls, their education and marriages.

I often feel the weight of caring for my family as the only daughter., which has made me feel even more stressed. Despite these hardships, I kept my persistent efforts for studying well.

Growing up in a financially constrained household, my parents faced numerous challenges. I had a great dream to live my life by providing necessary support to my family and be a good citizen of society by taking up a responsible job, but my family situation forced me to put those dreams on hold. This has been a significant setback for someone eager to learn and improve her circumstances.

I tried to support my father, but our situation did not improve significantly, and the dream of higher education is out of reach.

In the hardest of times, there was a good news from my friends about the 100 Days Later Initiatives supported by 100 Days Later Foundation & Cyient Foundation. The Foundation’s mobilization team had visited our very remote village which was not event dreamt off. The representatives had conducted a door-to-door campaign to identify job-seeking candidates.

I had very good interaction with the team and learned about the program, this program is exactly fulfilling the need I am into. The foundations are providing free food, transport facility and free trainings without a single rupee from our pockets. This event has a very positive impact in my life and that was a life-changing decision for me to join the 100 days of training.

I enrolled in the Customer Care Executive course. I was provided with 100 days of very comprehensive training, during the training  program I was not only equipped with technical skills in customer care but also imparted essential life skills. I learned many things, such as identifying my strengths and weaknesses and how to overcome them, professional work ethics, and communication skills. The curriculum included modules on self-confidence, self-discipline, informed decision-making, and effective time management. These skills collectively contributed to my personal and professional growth, empowering me to take decisions of life and self-control of my future.

I extend my gratitude to Ms. Pratinya, who cares for us like a family member and has significant responsibilities toward disadvantaged people. I was selected by a reputable company, thanks to the placement-linked training program, which proved to be incredibly valuable.
