Background:

My name is Gollapally Umamaheshwari, and I live in Jadcherla in Mahabubnagar. My village is very near to Shamshabad, a job hub, but my skills were very poor to accomplish anything, making it difficult to get a job.

My father is a farmer, and our family of three relies entirely on his income. My mother is a member of the Samaikya self-help group. She joined the group to support the family, but even with her earnings, it is not enough to lead a comfortable life.

I completed my degree at MVS Degree College, where I gained subject knowledge but not job-oriented skills, which has made me feel even more defeated. Despite these hardships, my determination and resilience have led me to a place of promise and potential. I had a great dream to change society by taking on a responsible job, but my family situation forced me to put those dreams on hold. This has been a significant setback for someone eager to learn and improve her circumstances. I tried to support my father, but our situation did not improve significantly, and the dream of higher education and professional training seemed out of reach.

One fine day, Ms. Pratinya and her mother had visited our college and spoke about 100 Days Later Initiative of 100 Days Later Foundation. I was so impressed with Ms. Pratinya for thinking of a such novel idea of helping girls in the need like me.

I felt this initiative is for me and joining the 100 Days Later Initiative was a life-changing decision for me. The Cyient Foundation team has luckily chosen our college to facilitate training, the foundation team along with trainers had a briefing about 100 days of training on the courses along with our principal.

After careful evaluation of courses under guidance of the foundation team, Me and my classmates enrolled in the Customer Care Executive course.

The 100 Days of course is very customised for the need of the back office operations industry, The comprehensive training program not only equipped me with technical skills in customer care but also imparted essential life skills. I learned many things, such as identifying my strengths and weaknesses and how to overcome them, professional work ethics, and communication skills. The curriculum included modules on self-confidence, self-discipline, informed decision-making, and effective time management. These skills collectively contributed to my personal and professional growth, empowering me to take control of my future.

After successful completion of 100 Days of training, I was issued a certificate and I had received an offer from very reputed company for data entry post. Now I am proud daughter of my father, earning for family and planning for future.

I extend my gratitude to Ms. Pratinya and her family for initiating this kind of training program in remote areas to promote us in the city by providing essential skills.
