Background:

My name is A. Srivani, and I am from Gandeed in the Mahbubnagar district. I live with my parents, and we have a large family of seven members. It is very difficult to support our family. My father is unable to work due to his poor health and age-related disabilities. My mother was a daily wage worker. Destiny played a cruel game in my life. My father had to sell our land to pay for my sister’s marriage. As a result. I have faced many hardships in my life.

Due to financial issues, I could only study up to the 10th standard. I started doing tailoring work, but I had to stop because of back pain issues. Life is not easy for me and my family, the sufferings are never ending to us. Earning money for family is a much thing and not able help the family due to my health and mental status. Only praying for help to come somewhere and prayers are continued to good fortune.

Then one day, our prayers helped me to attend a meeting conducted by the 100 Days Later Foundation team in our area. I am so happy to understand from the meeting that, Ms. Pratinya running a free 100 Days of trainings to unemployed women to make them employable. The only eligibility is sincerity and committed dedication to attend trainings and learn the skills.

I have taken permission my family members and enrolled for the General Duty Assistant course. The course was apt to me as I have lot of patience to serve the elderly, this was brought out during the interactions with counsellors. The only ask from the 100 Days Later foundation is to attend the course regularly and learn the skill.

The trainers are very friendly, I have learned many things, such as bed making, blood drawing, BP checking, sugar testing, and other important skills related to the course. I have learned punctuality, cleanliness, responsibility, and commitment as part of my studies.  Coming from a very poor family, I was very happy to be part of the program.

Now, I am earning some money to support my family and save for my marriage. Thanks to Ms. Pratinya for coming up with such an initiative that is giving life to many girls like me who are unskilled and uneducated. 100 Days Later Initiative really transforming lives in 100 Days as promised and giving stable income with very good skills to survive.

Sincere gratitude to the foundations for providing me with this opportunity to improve my skills and support my family. We remember and show our gratitude to Ms. Pratinya. I have never seen such a kind-hearted woman, not only sponsoring but also visiting multiple times to the institute to observe the quality of the training and make necessary corrections.
