I am Degavath Sangeetha from an isolated village called Bijeneypally in Nagarkurnool District. My family, consisting of seven members, struggled with severe financial constraints. My father is a farmer, worked tirelessly to support us, but his earnings were barely not sufficient. The farmer’s life is so difficult at times and the living become difficult for them and their dependents. The dart causing losses and continued financial stress caused debts.
This has led severe burden on my father and everyone in the family were under tremendous pressure to contribute their bit for the income generation. I aspired to pursue higher studies but had to abandon my dreams due to our economic situation. The financial stress put a period to my education soon after completing my higher secondary education in the village government school. I was desperate to support my family, I began searching for employment but faced rejection due to my qualifications. During a mobilization camp in our village, I learned about the 100 Days Later Initiatives of Ms. Pratinya and her team of 100 Days Later Foundation.
I had requested my father to take me to the training centre in Mahabubnagar that day is the most important day in my life. We had very good interaction with the counsellors, and I have seen the joy in my father’s eyes. The trainings are free of cost and there are very good facilities like transport and food. After careful assessment by the counsellor, I had enrolled for 100 Days of Electronics & Soldering course with 100% placement assistance.
My family supported me to attend the training regularly and I have utilized the facilities provided by the 100 Days Later Foundation and Cyient Foundation during the training. The training provided by 100 Days Later Foundation was exceptional. It is not only imparted technical skills but also enhanced my self-confidence. The motivational classes were transformative, helping me realize my capabilities. After completing the 100 days of training, I was issued a certificate.
During the valedictory program I was fortunate meet the program chief Ms. Pratinya, she is such an inspiration to many of us, at a young age of 15 she is empowering 100 women every 100 days, helped many girls like me with sustainable living opportunity.
I had been taken to various industrial visits and trained on interview facing skills. We were invited to a job mela conducted by 100 Days Later Foundation and Cyient Foundation. With all the guidance from the foundations I have got a job at a renowned company in Hyderabad with a starting salary of Rs. 15,000/-. Having worked in electronics production for six months now, I have witnessed significant changes in my life. I have become the main breadwinner for my family, paid off our debts, and we now live a stable and happy life. The 100 Days Later Initiative has been a game-changer for me, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to improve their circumstances. Special thanks to the Foundations and Ms. Pratinya.
