My name is Pathi Kavitha, and I live in Jainalpur in Mahabubnagar. My village is famous for paddy growing, but my life has not been famous in society due to a lack of money. My father is a farmer, and our family of three relies entirely on his income. My father understands the ethics and responsibilities of raising women, but despite his efforts, his income is not sufficient to support us. My mother also works for a daily wage, but even with her earnings, it is not enough to lead a comfortable life.
Living in a remote area where negativity and societal pressures persist, I often feel the weight of caring for my family as the only daughter. With all the difficulties my father provided me education until graduation, I had completed my schooling in Government Schools and later I completed my degree at MVS College with great hardship, a degree with lack job skills and communications has made me feel even more defeated.
Despite these hardships, my determination and resilience have led me to a place of promise and potential. Growing up in a financially constrained household, my parents faced numerous challenges. I had a great dream to change society by taking on a responsible job, but my family situation forced me to put those dreams on hold. This has been a significant setback for someone eager to learn and improve her circumstances. I tried to support my father, but our situation did not improve significantly, and the dream of higher education and professional training seemed out of reach.
I had received a message from one my friends about 100 Days Later Initiative, there were representatives from 100 Days Later Foundation along with Ms. Pratinya had visited our college and taken nominations for 100 days of training on industry relevant skill with job assurance and also visiting near by villages for participants enrolment.
The Foundation mobilization team visited our village and conducted a door-to-door campaign to identify job-seeking candidates. I had immediately made my mind to join the 100 days later initiative and that decision of joining the training was a life-changing decision for me. I had enrolled in the Back Office & Customer Care course.
The trainings were facilitated in our college and the trainers were very good. Ms. Pratinya visited us during the 100 days of training and taught us on interview preparation techniques, resume building and self-introduction.
The comprehensive training program not only equipped me with technical skills in customer care but also imparted essential life skills. I learned many things, such as identifying my strengths and weaknesses and how to overcome them, professional work ethics, and communication skills.
The curriculum included modules on self-confidence, self-discipline, informed decision-making, and effective time management. These skills collectively contributed to my personal and professional growth, empowering me to take control of my future.
Now I got placed in a good company and a getting very good salary, I am contributing to my family income and made my father proud. We all thankful to Ms. Pratinya and her family for coming up with such a noble initiative of uplifting unemployed women in rural areas.
