I am Konda Anusha, and I hail from Hanwada, Mahabubnagar. I have known hardship intimately. From my childhood, my life has been difficult due to the financial situation in my family. My family consists of four members. My father had a drinking habit, and because of this, we became poor and marginalized in the family and society.
My dream is to bring back the glory we had in the past, but it seemed like only a dream as I had no support, even from my family and relatives. I lost hope and was living aimlessly. We are living below the poverty line. My father is a farmer by profession, and leading the family has been very difficult for him. We lived a constrained life.
My mother is a member of a Self Helf Group (SHG), one day in her working community a group of representatives from 100 Days Later Foundation conducted an awareness program on one of their 100 Days Later Initiative – a 100 days of training to 100 women with 100 placements. My mother encouraged me to join the program. I immediately went to their skill centre in ITI Mettugadda, Mahabubnagar, and was shocked to learn that the program was free of cost and included placement support. The counsellors are very friendly and explained every detail in Telugu and motivated me to take Electronics and Soldering course for 100 Days.
They gave me a lot of hope, and I took admission in the electronics and soldering course. It was new to me, but I gathered the strength to attend the classes, and finally, it turned out well. I also created awareness among some of my friends, who were also happy to join. After joining, we underwent a 100-day training program. Through its comprehensive curriculum, including invaluable soft skills classes and practical learning with industry tours.
Gratitude filled my heart as I reflected on my journey. After clearing my interview, I felt fully satisfied with my life. When I looked back into my past, the life was full of grief and dissatisfaction, but now my life is colourful and beautiful. My income helped my family to come out of the debts and now I am providing all the necessities my family needed. My parents are very proud of me, this is all because of very young girl and thought of her at very young age. I am truly happy due to the step taken by the 100 Days Later Foundation and especially Ms. Pratinya.
