Background:

My name is Biagari Indhu. My father is a farmer by profession, and we are a family of four and depended entirely on my father earnings. If my father has no work on a given day, we sleep with empty stomachs. The starving’s are not common to us as there were many days and times we faced this situation. My father and mother are helpless, at times we all four of us sit and cry.

Growing up in a financially constrained household, my parents faced numerous challenges. I am the most effected person being born last. After soon my elder sister’s marriage and I don’t have a choice left to care of family and support in these hardships.

Financial difficulties were a constant burden, and the dream of a better life seemed distant. Despite these hardships, I somehow completed my school education in the village government school. My dream of higher education seemed out of reach. Due to my family situation, I used to work as a daily wage labourer in the village, to make money I go along with my mother and father to daily work.

We all three working for an improved income is not having a significant increase in our financials, the miseries continue to creep and no improvement in the circumstances.

Despite my efforts, our situation did not improve significantly due to low wages for daily labour work and taking professional training to do skilled job for higher wages is seemed out of reach.

One day at the workplace few of the fellow labourers were talking about skill development program that helped their daughter to gain a good job in a nearby electronics manufacturing company. I was curious to know about the program, during the same time 100 Days Later Foundation’s mobilization team visited our village and conducted a door-to-door campaign to identify job-seeking candidates. I requested my father and mother to allow me to attend the training program.

The representatives of foundation explained about the importance of the program and the vision of Ms. Pratinya. I got permission to attend the training program, as there are no fees to pay and they are providing transportation facilities and food.

The one decision to join the 100 Days Later Initiative proved to be a life-changing one for me. I took admission in the Electronics and Soldering domain course. The comprehensive training program not only equipped me with technical skills in electronics and soldering but also imparted essential life skills. The curriculum included modules on self-confidence, self-discipline, informed decision-making, and effective time management. These skills collectively contributed to my personal and professional growth, empowering me to take control of my future. I know say that my determination and resilience have led me to a place of promise and potential. But all this is possible only if people like Ms. Pratinya and the foundations comes up with such noble programs to uplift the community.

Now I am having a stable income and a skilled job I desired for. Many thanks to the foundations sponsored this project.
