Positive action combined with positive thoughts result in success

Background:

My name is Choukala Krishnaveni, and I hail from Bandameedipally Block of Mahabubnagar District. I would like to share my wonderful experience with the 100 Days Later Initiative of 100 Days Later Foundation, which helped me reinvent myself. Coming from a very poor family background, getting a job was very important for me. Three years ago, my father passed away, and my brother and I had to run an auto-rickshaw to support our family. I went through a very critical situation in my life.

As the family problems continue to persist me and my brother were looking for sustainable income sources. One day we had come across few girls talking about the 100 Days Later Initiative and then I learned about the women empowerment programme, I wasn’t sure about the quality of their training and placement assistance. I was hesitant take part of the training for 100 Days as that will hit on income for 100 days, me and my brother decided to visit the centre. I had visited the training facility located in ITI Mettugadda, Mahabubnagar and interacted the counsellor. There I had come to know about Ms. Pratinya and the unique program called 100 Days Later Initiative.

After duly assessing my interests, counsellors suggested Electronics and Soldering training will give decent income and job security. We were amazed at the same time because 100% placement assistance is not something everyone guarantees. However, the team members showed confidence in their approach, and I knew I was making the right decision in taking up their course.

I opted for the electronics and soldering course, which deals with electronic components and soldering techniques. The Foundation team has successfully trained 300 members, and I was part of the fourth batch. I am thankful to the 100 Days Later Foundation. The trainers were excellent, and there was great support from the management and the staff alike. The skills I gained from the 100 Days Later women empowerment training will stay with me throughout my lifetime. I was fortunate enough to get placed with a wonderful organization called ZEN Technologies.
