Background:

Nandini belongs to a family where her father, a farmer, earns a meagre amount to support the basic needs of the family. The family has single source income from the forming. Her father has been spending all his time and due to climate conditions and market conditions always incurred financial losses despite all the hard work he had put into. That has resulting financial debts and family was into deep financial stress.

The affordability of getting quality education has resulted Nandini to discontinue her studies after class 12. She got married and a young age and due to unforeseen circumstances, she lost her husband at very young age. This has caused more problems to her living. Though she is committed to help the family by gaining regular income, there is no job opportunity for her education and skills.

One fine day, she got to know about Ms. Pratinya and her intervention on skilling and employing women. She had learned about 100 Days Later Initiatives that is transforming the lives of unemployed unskilled women. The 100 Days Later Initiative of the 100 Days Later Foundation Women Empowerment Program gained popularity in the entire village. By hearing about the popularity of the training centre in her neighbourhood and mobilization activities in her village. She wanted to join the healthcare sector but couldn’t afford the fees charged by other institutes for certification.

Upon learning from counsellors that this institute provides free training and a placement-linked program, she decided to join. As a widow needing to work and stand on her own feet, this training was crucial for her. She always had high aspirations and wanted to help others, which is the main reason she wanted to join the healthcare sector. Given her keen interest in the field, she was advised to take up the General Duty Assistant job role, which would further help her pursue a career of her choice.  After joining the 100 Days Later Initiative offered General Duty Assistant course, she acquired both practical and theoretical knowledge related to the job role.
