Success Occurs When Opportunity Meets Preparation

Background:

My name is Kishtapuram Ningamma, and I am from Utkoor, Mahabubnagar. My family consists of five members: my father, mother, two brothers, and me. My younger brother was pursuing ITI courses but had to discontinue due to financial burdens. My father is a casual labourer under the MGNREGA scheme with a negligible monthly income of only Rs. 6000. My mother also works under the MGNREGA scheme to support our family.

I often wished to help my parents during their hardships, but I was unable to do so. Then, God showered his blessings on me in the form of Ms. Pratinya and her unique thought for the Women Empowerment Training Programme offered through the 100 Days Later initiative by the 100 Days Later Foundation, with support from the Cyient Foundation.

My sister, who had earlier enrolled for the training course and gained success by getting job after 100 Days of Training. She is always expressed her sincere gratitude to Ms. Pratinya and her family by empowering Girls, encouraged me through her foundations. She has persisted me to join the training course as the trainings are free and all the facilities provided by the foundations.

I had enrolled for Electronics and Soldering Training, form the day one the training so interesting and most interesting out of the training is industry visits. The industry heads and the managers visited our centre and interacted with us very periodically. The motivation we got from the foundation’s leadership is immense and the only task for us is to attend the trainings regularly and learn the concepts taught by the faculty. My skills are improved and now I can speak in English and my ability to communicate in English is improved. I got job in Electronics Manufacturing company.

Now, both of us are earning together and supporting our parents, who are much more relaxed. I experienced very dark days in my life, even when my supporters were giving me advice regarding jobs. I personally tried many places to secure a job but failed everywhere due to my lack of skills. This program has illuminated my path, and now I am proud to be one of the beneficiaries of the 100 Days Later Foundation and Cyient Foundation.
