Gachmolla Ashwini’s story is a testament to the power of perseverance and self-belief. Growing up in a modest family of four in the Narayanapet District of Telangana state, Ashwini always aspired to carve out a meaningful career for herself. However, she wasn’t one to boast about her ambitions or achievements; she preferred to let her diligent work speak on her behalf.
Her journey took a pivotal turn while she was completing her intermediate studies. It was during this time that she encountered the 100 Days Later Foundation and their 100 Days Later Initiative at her college. This discovery opened a new avenue for her, igniting a spark that would lead to profound personal and professional growth. Ashwini’s resolve was further strengthened by her belief that women are equally capable as men in any field they choose to pursue.
This conviction, coupled with unwavering support from her family, propelled her to enrol in the Electronics and Soldering Course offered through 100 Days Later Initiative. Choosing a field predominantly dominated by men did not deter Ashwini; rather, it fuelled her determination to excel. The technical training she received was complemented by comprehensive soft skills and communication training, addressing her initial fear of public speaking—her Achilles’ heel. The program’s holistic approach ensured she was well-prepared, both technically and personally, for her future career.
Her satisfaction stems from the fact that she has built a career on her own terms, in a field she is passionate about. However, she is far from complacent. With her tenacious spirit and relentless work ethic. She has high regards for Ms. Pratinya and her team for this noble initiative of empowering women in 100 Days. Her happiness of helping family with consistent income has given her joy for life.
