Background:

My name is Thalari Anusha, and I hail from Maddur, a town in Mahabubnagar. Unfortunately, our financial situation has always been challenging. My life has always been one of dependency, relying on others for everything. We live under the Below Poverty Line (BPL) and constantly seek support, especially financial help.

During this critical time, I lost hope in everything. My father works as a casual labourer under the MGNREGA scheme, earning a merely monthly income of only Rs. 6000. To help make ends meet, my mother also works under the MGNREGA scheme. Despite their hard work, our family has always struggled to get by.

I have always wanted to help my parents during these difficult times, but I felt helpless due to my lack of skills and opportunities. Everything changed when I learned about the Women Empowerment Training Programme offered through the 100 Days Later initiative by the 100 Days Later Foundation, with support from the Cyient Foundation.

My sister, who had previously enrolled for free training course and gained a job. She had encouraged me to join as well. Seeing the positive changes in her life, I decided to follow her advice. Before joining this program, I went through very bad days and misfortune.

With support from my sister, I had visited the skill centre in ITI Mettugadda, Mahabubnagar. I had very good interaction with training faculty and the counsellor. I had learned more about the initiative and the sponsor Ms. Pratinya and her foundations. My sister always talked about Ms. Pratinya an young girl and her vision for the unemployed women. I was eagerly waiting to see Ms. Pratinya and the day has come, I had an wonderful opportunity to meet the girl, she is so humble and down to earth. I still remember she has a meal with us sitting with us on the floor.

During my training, I was provided with industry relevant skill on Electronics Soldering, I was provided with intensive hands on training on critical process in the electronics industry, after successful completion of the course I was provide with a certificate. The very good manufacturing companies started visiting our skill centre and taking candidates for Electronics and Soldering technician. I had received very good offer from one of the best companies.

Thanks to the 100 Days of training, now I am a soldering technician having an essential skill in the construction and repair of electronic devices. Sincere gratitude to Ms. Pratinya and her family.
